#AWS re:Invent 2024: Priorities! 🤩

Choose your priorities during re:Invent

Published Jan 4, 2025
Whether you’re a seasoned professional, or a newcomer in AWS ecosystem, re:Invent has something for everyone. However, with so much happening simultaneously, it’s impossible to do everything. You can set your priorities and here my suggestions.
Networking during event:
Build relationships with mentors, potential collaborators and tech leads. Attend networking meetups, peertaks, chalktalks, jams to exchange ideas and insights. Leverage the opportunity to connect with AWS employees and gain insider knowledge.
Networking during afterhours:
Attend parties and entertainment events to unwind and see famous artists. Embrace the chance to meet others in a more informal setting, which can lead to meaningful connections and more open conversations.
Maximise Learning:
Plan your schedule around the keynotes and breakout sessions that align with your interests and career goals. Take notes so you can revisit recordings of sessions to consolidate your learning online later.
Practical approach:
Explore hands-on workshops, labs and bootcamps to gain practical experience. Explore services and features in a guided environment. Join jams to work on real-world AWS challenges. Use this as an opportunity to solidify your technical skills.
Collect Swag and Explore:
Visit the expo hall to discover new products and solutions from AWS partners.Collect swag and giveaways as a fun way to remember the event and engage with exhibitors. You can learn from AWS partners how they utilise AWS and what’s trending on the market.
Try Something New:
Step out of your comfort zone and explore sessions or activities you wouldn’t usually consider. Experiment with unfamiliar AWS services or emerging trends.
If you let me know what would make a good priorities during re:Invent I would be grateful. 🥳
