Delivery Run: Part 1
Built with Unity 3D and a custom browser extension, Delivery Run transcends the typical game experience by allowing players to use any of the 12 million+ Amazon products to aid them in the game.

We were inspired by generative AI games, which offer an endless variety of combinations. However, we challenged ourselves to incorporate a storyline while leveraging Amazon's ecosystem and using AWS services such as Amazon Q and Amazon Bedrock’s Titan Text G1 - Premier for generative responses.
Delivery Run: Part 1 Explained
Delivery Run: Part 1 is a top-down, semi-open world game centered around one mission: finding your grandma's missing cats.
After waking up in your grandma's house, you must use your Amazon app (equipped with express same-second delivery) to solve tasks, handle crises, and work towards locating your grandma’s cats by purchasing items directly from the Amazon website.

Creation of Delivery Run
We developed Delivery Run: Part 1 using Unity 3D in conjunction with Visual Studio 2022, supercharged with Amazon Q, to fast-track the creation of an ambitious game project saving an estimated 30 hours through its development!
The Concept
The core idea was: Can we create a game where you act as an Amazon shopper, purchasing any product to solve problems, with the game understanding your purchases, tracking your spending, and reacting to the situation—all while being intuitive and user-friendly?
To achieve this, we faced several key challenges:
- Generating AI responses in real-time
- Interacting with the Amazon website
- Creating a fun, story-driven experience

Tackling the Challenges
- Real-time AI Response Generation
The first challenge was relatively straightforward, thanks to Amazon Bedrock and its intuitive AI communication tools. Within a few days, we were able to communicate with various AI models hosted on Bedrock, allowing us to test different models in Unity and select the one that best suited our vision.
- Interaction with the Amazon Website
The second challenge required more effort, as we had no prior experience developing browser extensions, especially those capable of interacting directly with Unity 3D. With significant assistance from Amazon Q, we eventually developed a communication method that balanced functionality with a satisfying user experience.
- Story Integration and Gameplay Design
Finally, we realized that the simplest way to tie everything together was by focusing on an Amazon shopper—someone who uses Amazon like everyone else. This approach provided a relatable framework for players and allowed us to craft an engaging narrative around solving problems using real-world products.
Google Extension Instructions
First in the game you will navigate into your phone, then to the extension app.
After you hit download the extension ZIP will be sent directly to your downloads folder. Unpack this ZIP file.
From here you will open your web browser and navigate to the extension manager page. Here you will enter developer mode by clicking the button on the top right corner. Then you will select “Load Unpacked” on the top left hand corner and navigate to the unpacked ZIP file and select it.Your extension is now installed and ready to use!
By combining these elements, we successfully created the first part of our ambitious project: Delivery Run: Part 1.
