It's time to talk backups š¼
š S3 is a highly durable data store (up to 11 9's!) which means an object is extremely unlikely to lose integrity. However, customers often confuse this with there being multiple copies of their data.
šŖ AWS has a strong customer data policy. It boils down to: it's your data, you're in control of it.
That means you š the customer š need to enable a backup strategy that works for you. Fortunately, there are a lot of features that make this easy.
