Hello, fellow builders!
Recently, I took part in the exciting Amazon Q CLI Build Your Own Game challenge. My goal was to create a fun, simple game that’s easy to play but addictive enough to keep you coming back for more.
In this game, you control a character running through a terminal world, collecting dollar signs ($) to boost your score. The challenge is to collect as many as possible before the game ends when you choose hash (#). The more you collect, the higher your score!
I used Amazon Q CLI to help me structure the game logic and streamline development. The Q CLI’s AI-powered assistant provided smart code snippets, helped me debug faster, and even suggested improvements to the gameplay mechanics — all of which sped up my workflow tremendously.
The game is built with simple controls and responsive animations. It tracks your score dynamically and ends the game when you miss collecting enough items, adding an element of excitement and urgency.
- Collect dollar signs ($) to increase your score
- Simple, smooth controls ideal for quick play sessions
- Clear game over condition with score tracking
- Lightweight and efficient, perfect for web deployment
The Amazon Q CLI platform is an incredible tool for developers and hobbyists alike. It combines the power of AI with developer workflows, making it easier to bring creative ideas to life. Plus, challenges like this push you to learn and experiment.
I highly recommend trying out Amazon Q CLI for your next project. Whether you’re building games, apps, or tools, it’s a great companion to speed up development and add some AI magic.
