Challenges faced by book readers:
In the hustle and bustle of contemporary life, the simple pleasure of reading a book faces several hurdles. For many avid readers, time is a precious commodity in short supply. Amidst the demands of work, family, and social obligations, finding uninterrupted moments to immerse oneself in a book can be a daunting task.
Financial considerations also play a significant role. With the rising costs of living, purchasing books can strain tight budgets. Many readers hesitate to invest in a book without a glimpse of its contents, leading to a desire for a sneak peek before committing to a purchase.
Decision paralysis adds another layer of complexity. The vast array of genres, authors, and titles can leave readers overwhelmed and uncertain of where to begin. This indecision can hinder the enjoyment of reading as individuals struggle to select a book that resonates with them.
But these challenges can't kill the spirit of an avid book reader. A famous quote from George Martin-

I can resonate with these challenges and this gave me an idea, why not read the essence of the book to know if it suits my taste and if I liked the trailer, I can make up my mind to go ahead and buy a copy to get myself immersed in the book.
I have created an app - "The Book Summarizer" that solves these challenges. This app is based on Generative AI and created using AWS PartyRock playground. It was fun to create this app and it can be expanded further.
