Find the Perfect Fit: Eye Glasses Matching App

Creating a Generative AI powered app using AWS PartyRock was cool and super easy. I tried making an app which provides solution to hassle of trying every eye glass frame out there and still being confused on what shape to choose. It aims at saving time and energy of everyone who wants to choose a suitable eyeglass frame.

The app takes input from the user of their face shape, streamlines variety of frame styles and suggests only those frames which would particularly suit their face shape using LLM (Large Language Models).

To understand which frame style or colour would look better on their face, I generated few sample images which were purely based on user’s own physical attributes like skin colour, face shape, gender and their desired frame colour which would give them a tailored look, hence making the choice easy.

For getting personalized eyeglass recommendations, a chat bot was included which made the app more interactive and fun. Example - used chatbot to get frame colour suggestions that would suit user’s skin tone and then tried putting one of the suggested colours in the user input box widget for generating an image which was similar to their facial attributes which would give them pretty decent idea on how they would look if they tried that particular frame style in real.

Pros: Quick app building, detailed recommendations

Cons: Sometimes images aren’t 100% accurate

It was mind blowing how we can create a real-world application in just few minutes using different widgets and providing correct prompts to get accurate results.
