I'm lucky to have the opportunity to meet with customers and talk to our amazing Solution Architect team about use-cases we hear in the field. Here are 4 top use-cases I am seeing in the field.
  1. Improving Customer Experience: Customers are enhancing customer service through the development of conversational chatbots and virtual agents. These AI-powered tools provide customers with customized and timely information, improving the overall experience. Additionally, generative AI assists human agents in contact centers by providing quick summaries of customer information, enabling more meaningful interactions and efficient issue resolution.
  2. Employee Productivity: Organizations are improving employee productivity by automating tasks such as code generation for developers. Code generation tools significantly accelerate the coding process, thereby increasing efficiency. Furthermore, generative AI enhances internal search capabilities, enabling employees to quickly access relevant information without the need to sift through numerous links or search engine results.
  3. Enhancing Content Creation: Creating diverse and personalized content, including text, images, and videos are considered "low hanging fruit" when adopting Generative AI. Businesses utilize generative AI to generate marketing materials, sales scripts, and other content tailored to the preferences and needs of their target audience, thereby enhancing engagement and effectiveness of communication.
  4. Process Optimization: Existing processes that are labor intensive, especially with paper trails make make a good use case for Generative AI. Industries such as healthcare, legal, insurance, and lending that have long, manual processes are being streamlined with Generative AI. It automates tasks such as document analysis, contract generation, and note-taking, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency. In healthcare, for example, generative AI facilitates the digitization and automation of doctor notes, leading to improved patient care and outcomes.

Some services to explore to support these use cases:
  • Amazon Q - Fully managed Generative AI assistant, from idea to production without needing large AI teams
  • Amazon Bedrock - Fully managed Foundation Model offering, enabling you to choose from top LLM providers
  • Amazon Sagemaker Jumpstart - For those who want to build their own and/or run their own models
