How far back in time can you go, and still be able do your job?

If you decided to go a week with technology of a certain age, how old could that technology be for you to still be able to do your job? 🤔

Let's say you're a developer! You system applications in C++. Most of your time is spent SSHed into some Linux box, far far away in the cloud. How old can your computer be to still be able to do your job? And I am not saying - do your job perfectly and most enjoyably, oh no - we are cutting corners here 😅

Is a 10 year old laptop too old? How about you get your Window XP desktop from 2004? Maybe go back 30 years and use Windows 3.11? 👀

I'd say it really depends on your job and how much you need to be "connected", but going far back is quite possible, with some caveats! 😉
