On this episode we have the amazing AWS Serverless Hero Jones Zachariah Noel N diving deep into Event Driven Architecture Patterns and showcasing them with AWS Services like Step Functions and Event Bridge.
Zach Jones explained in detail what are two most common patterns in Event Driven Architectures - Orchestration and Choreography.
As one of our Twitch show chat member (riferrei) very well summarized in simple terms:
Choreography: It's like ballet dancers. Each of the dancers knows what they need to do and how to interact with each other.
Orchestration: big orchestra which features multiple instruments and a conductor who makes sure that everyone stays in-sync.
He also showed us how its easy to use Step Functions Workflow Studio, a low-code visual workflow designer, in the AWS Console and in your own Visual Studio Code IDE. It lets you create serverless workflows by orchestrating AWS services. We also looked at examples like calling your API, calling a SaaS endpoint, and even invoking an Amazon Bedrock foundational model.
