The first time I participated in AWS JAM Session

Here I will tell a little about my experience in this fun event

Published Feb 4, 2025
Hi, I am @venelouis, from Brazil.
A little of context:
I just graduated from re/Start last year (2024) and passed the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification. Because of that, I got access to the re/Start post-grad platform, and I found it amazing. The re/Start program is very intense, and sometimes some topics are covered faster than others. The only problem is that access is limited to six months (it would be nicer if it was at least one year for active students).
About the event:
I don't have much time because of my work, but I try to spend at least one day learning new things about tech. I had the opportunity to participate in this event, and I think it was very nice. The mentor said the maximum number of participants is 50, but there were only 19 participants. I think it was cool because my team was just me and another guy (I prefer smaller teams or working alone). We worked together on the first two lab challenges, and then we split, which I think was better. Although I don't have much experience, my partner didn't either, so we tried to do things alone, just following the clues and asking for help only when extremely necessary. It was a very good experience for me, meeting many people around the globe and practicing my English.
Some desires:
I hope to participate in more JAM sessions, and I hope to have more access to the re/Start platform.
Below are some more screenshots I took of this very nice online event:
