It's that time again! Here's the map wallpapers I've made for AWS re:Invent 2024, and they're ready for you to download. If you've used these before, you know how handy they are for navigating the event. If you're new to re:Invent, trust me - these will save you time, battery life, and a lot of confusion.
Why are they so popular? Simple: they put key info right on your lock screen. No need to constantly unlock your phone or drain your battery opening the AWS events app. Just a glance, and you've got the campus map at your fingertips. It's no wonder these wallpapers go viral every year - they're practical, time-saving, and (hopefully!) they look nice too.
Here's links to skip ahead to each wallpaper so you can download it, or scroll on through to see all the options. If you have a request, drop it in the comments below and I'll try to add extras if I get time.
Also - if you're joining in person - come to one of my sessions! I'm actually speaking 3 times and you can find the details here:
- DEV207 | The ABCs of generative AI (Wednesday)
- INV202-INT | Creating business breakthroughs with Amazon Q (Wednesday)
- DOP220-INT | Reimagining the developer experience at AWS (Thursday)
AWS User Groups are local communities where AWS users meet to share knowledge and network.
The AWS Community Builders program gives members the opportunity to step up their cloud skills in a global community focused around technical resources, networking and sharing insights about the latest AWS services.
The AWS Heroes program is invitation-only, and recognizes top AWS experts around the world who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with the developer community.
The main event! AWS re:Invent is our annual conference featuring lots of announcements, technical sessions, hands-on labs and the opportunity to catch up with lots of friendly faces in the AWS cinematic universe.
PartyRock is an Amazon Bedrock playground that helps you build AI-powered apps in seconds and get more done with generative AI.
AWS Builder ID is your key to learning, connecting, troubleshooting and experimenting with AWS. Visit this page to claim your unique alias (you'll thank me later for this).
Amazon Q helps you get more done, and faster. It's an AI assistant designed to help with lots of software development and business tasks, and the two main parts are Amazon Q Developer and Amazon Q Business.
Last but not least - Amazon Bedrock is the easiest way to build and scale generative AI applications with foundation models. My favourite part is Converse API - if you haven't looked at the docs for this yet, you should!
Buckets is the beloved mascot representing Amazon S3, and Sean White (Head of Product Marketing for cloud storage, migration, and hybrid cloud at AWS) requested this wallpaper!
AWS Graviton is a family of processors that give you the best price performance for cloud workloads running on Amazon EC2. This request came from @por in the comment section on this article - ask and you shall receive!
Want to learn AWS in a way that is fun enough to feel like you're procrastinating? AWS Card Clash is for you! This is a gamified learning pathway from AWS Training & Certification that is a fan-favorite in the community - thanks for the suggestion @cjtaylor!
Can't wait to see you all at AWS re:Invent 2024! Whether you're navigating Vegas with these wallpapers or joining from home, I'm excited to connect. If you're watching online, I'll be looking for your comments on my social posts and videos on the AWS Developers accounts.

See you soon!
